

Fire Chief Greg Winfrey
Chief Greg Winfrey was raised in Southern Oregon. He Graduated from Crater High School in 1976. Greg started his fire service career in 1974 as a Volunteer Firefighter with the City of Central Point Fire Department. In 1977 he took up his first full time position when he was hired as a paid firefighter by the CPFD.
In 1981 he was hired as a captain for Rogue River Fire District and was promoted to Fire Chief in 1987. He held that position until 2005.
In 2005 he left Rogue River to join Fire District 3 as a Battalion Chief, a position he held until retiring in 2015.In 2018 he came out of retirement to take up the position of Fire Chief for Jackson County Fire District 4.
Greg enjoys camping, fishing, and the outdoors life of Oregon, with his wife Paige, their children, and grandchildren.

Accounts Manager Lalaina Castle
Lalaina joined the JCFD4 family in 2019 as Assistant to the Chief. She has since taken on the position of Accounts Manager, handling the Districts payroll, books, and acting liaison for the Board of Directors.
Lalaina, with her husband Marc, their children, and grandchildren, have been community members of Shady Cove since March 2018.
She enjoys cooking, reading, gardening, caring for their multiple pets. and rock hounding. She relishes in all of what living in Shady Cove and our valley means, and has to offer.
